"Mrs. India - lAB" 2018 First Runner Up Lopamudra Mandal had arranged a great exhibition yesterday


“Mrs. India- IAB ” 2018 First Runner Up and also former "Miss kolkata" Lopamudra Mandal organized a beautiful exhibition which was featuring by 'Meena Bazaar Classics'. It fused fashion and
entertainment under one roof on Tuesday, July 30th, at Hyatt Regency in Kolkata.
                                             
  The motto of the exhibition was to indulge people in retail therapy and help them choose their 'comfort buys', and staying true to its theme. 'Meena Bazaar Classics' turned into a fun filled shopping and eating extravaganza, in an otherwise mundane monsoon day of Kolkata.
          
       Around 50 exhibitors from all over the country were featured in this exhibition, along with spa, makeup and nails art stations, tarot card reading, tattoo studio, dessert stalls, live food counter, hookah lounge, active bar and much more. Fashion and apparel designers from all over the country displayed their creations, setting up stalls of ethnic wear, jewellery and even handbags and purses. The special Rakhi edition of this much-awaited exhibition also saw counters selling Rakhis and handmade cards for the upcoming occasion!
     

      'Meena Bazaar Classics' had its heart in the right place as it featured stalls of NGOs in this Fall edition of the much celebrated fashion and lifestyle exhibition.
       Talking about 'Meena Bazaar Classics' and her involvement in the same, Lopamudra said, “Meena Bazaar Classics is one of the most well-known events in the city and it falls within my responsibility to support the organisations working with social concerns by providing them with a platform. I have always been supporting the cause silently but today I am proud to say that I am in a position to do my bit for a larger cause, and that remains to be the ultimate source of satisfaction for me.”

'Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Smarane'


'Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Smarane' was held on 27 July at Ajitesh Mancha, Kolkata.

Srijoy Mitra’s journey from being a Musician to Novelist


A talented musician from Winston Salem, Srijoy Mitra is now focusing on establishing himself as a prolific novelist. This 21st July, the young writer marked his debut endeavor at one of city’s posh boutique hotel where the author himself indulged in a discussion with the Literoma panel about his newly launched book “Golden Wings”.
  The hour-long discussion brought out many hidden secrets about Srijoy and his daring lifestyle, childhood, passion for music and supportive family.
 A house full of dignitaries across the world marked the success of the event.
 On a concluding note, Srijoy announced the next volume of his Golden trilogy.

A Tribute to Kamal Das Gupta by Shusmita Anis




Gramophone Co. of India had released the set of 10 Bengali Modern Songs captioned “A tribute to Kamal Das Gupta” under RAGA Music Label in 1998. All the songs were tuned by Kamal Das Gupta and lyricist Pranab Roy. This album has been remixed and remastered with original vocalist Shusmita Anis, iconic singer of Bangladesh.

  The launch of that new album was on 26th July at ITC Sonar, Kolkata. The songs will be digitally available on the birthday of both Kamal Das Gupta and Feroza Begum, on July 28.


    Shusmita Anis presents a set of songs that was directed by Feroza Begum. The songs have been remixed and remastered to be digitally available across all audio platforms and in Shusmita Anis YouTube channel.

    Kamal Das Gupta, the legendary composer and music director, was directed almost 8000 songs in the 1940’s to 50’s that captivated millions of listeners of the subcontinent in the Past decade.

    Feroza Begum directed the entire album that was originally released from RAGA MUSIC from India in 1998. Between “Peeu Peeu Gaye Papiya” to “Amar Chayati Dekhechi” there are eight other vintage melody numbers – A collector’s item indeed.

   Shusmita Anis said, “A number of songs my Pishi wanted me to sing – that was never released earlier by any artist. I am truly grateful to Almighty to have this unique opportunity to have been able to sing these songs. Now I am releasing digitally on their birthday, July 28”.
